The curriculum

What you will learn across the 50 hours

A practical foundation covering Yin principles, functional anatomy, accessible postures, meditation, Yoga Nidra and the art of holding space, through an inclusive Daoist lens.

01

Yin principles & methodology

You will learn the meridian theory, five element theory, seasonal practice and energetic balance, to integrate the relationship between sensation, attention and response. Then, how to communicate them clearly and confidently to students.

02

Functional approach to postures

Explore target areas, skeletal variations, props and alternatives, enabling you to teach based on functional bodily limitations rather than aesthetic shapes.

03

Meditation foundations

Gain a variety of effective and accessible meditation techniques, that you can weave into Yin classes, private sessions and your own personal practice.

04

Yoga Nidra structure

Develop the foundations of Yoga Nidra, understanding the structure, language, pacing and how to guide students into conscious rest safely and clearly.

05

Sequencing and space-holding

Understand how to design and deliver seamless Yin classes with confidence, including pose choices, timings, transitions, themes and scripting.

06

Practice teaching

Refine your teaching voice and ability to hold space, through practical feedback. Sharpening your cues, intentional pauses, sequencing, and the composure required to lead a slower paced, restorative class.
